Sqor Sports Leveling the Playing Field Between Athletes and Fans
Sqor Sports is attempting to level the playing field between athletes and the subscribers of its social media platform by allowing for deeper interactions, behind-the-scenes insight, and a closer look at athletes, explains founder and CEO Brian Wilhite. It's a social media platform that's aimed directly at sports, athletes and its fan bases. The company recently added legendary NFL quarterback Brett Favre to its board of directors. Sqor is different because it gives athletes a chance to make money too, Favre said, referring to the platform's revenue splitting model it has with its athletes. And while big-name athletes from the National Football League or Major League Baseball may already seem to have enough exposure, it also sheds some light on the less well-known athletes. Think of the Iditarod champion or world-champion pingpong players, Favre pointed out. This will give them a chance to gain exposure too, growing their brand and earning money doing it. The platform is a way for both current and former athletes to build their brand.
