Popular apps like Spotify  (SPOT) - Get Report, Waze, Tinder, and TikTok crashed on Apple’s  (APPL) devices Friday morning.

App outage tracker DownDetector.com noted a spike of users complaining about problems with those apps.

Streaming giant Spotify acknowledged the issue on social media.

"We're aware of some issues right now and are checking them out! We'll keep you posted," tweeted Spotify.

Several news reports suggested that the outage was caused by Facebook's Software Development Kit, or SDK, which enables users "to pass app event data from your app to Facebook."

"We are aware and investigating an increase in errors on the iOS SDK which is causing some apps to crash," Facebook  (FB) - Get Report said.

According to DownDetector.com, the issue has been fixed now.

"Everything’s now back in tune! If you still need help, send us a tweet," tweeted Spotify.
