Sony is now getting into the real estate business with an initial investment of $2.5 million in Sony Real Estate Corp., after trying to revive its dwindling consumer electronics business.
Sony is now getting into the real estate business with an initial investment of $2.5 million, after trying to revive its dwindling consumer electronics business. Sony is struggling to find new hit products to capture a consumer shift to mobile devices. The new unit, called Sony Real Estate Corp., begins work in August and will include a brokerage, property management and consulting arm. Sony's real estate outfit will be based in the upscale Ginza neighborhood in Tokyo.
