Snapchat Is Setting Up Its International Headquarters In London
Snapchat is setting up its international headquarters in London rather than in tax-friendly areas of Europe.
The company behind Snapchat is setting up its non-U.S. headquarters in London. The move is unusual for a U.S. tech company, Which usually pick countries in Europe offering tax breaks.
"We believe in the UK creative industries. The UK is where our advertising clients are, where more than 10 million daily Snapchatters are, and where we've already begun to hire talent," said Claire Valoti, general manager of Snap Group in the UK.
Snap already has a UK office in London and, as of Tuesday, the London office will operate as its international HQ.
