Smooth Alibaba IPO a Confidence Booster Says ShareBuilder President

The smooth launch of Alibaba's IPO spurred international interest and boosted market confidence among individual investors, said Dan Greenshields, President of ShareBuilder by Capital One. Greenshields added that the Citizens Financial IPO received far less interest because the story was clearly not as exciting as the Chinese internet giant, especially among younger investors. Greenshields said exchange traded funds continue to rise in popularity because individual investors have received the index message about low fees. Finally, he said millennial investors desire the ability to manage their finances on mobile devices.
