Audio brand Skullcandy hopes its new product launches ahead of the 2014 holiday season will help drive revenue and earnings for the company. The new products include Bluetooth and wireless headphones as well as take-anywhere speakers. CEO Hoby Darling says this is really indicative of what the company has done over the past 12-18 months by right-sizing distribution. Skullcandy’s core consumer is the 20-something constantly-connected influencer and that is where innovation and opportunity lies for the retailer. Darling adds that the company also plans to expand internationally.
