Sequential Brands intends to build on last year's successful transition into a pure play brand management company, said the company's CEO Yehuda Shmidman. Shmidman added that the company made a big splash last year with its And1 and Avia acquisitions and he intends to expand those brands at home, abroad and online. He said millennials may be addicted to the latest hi-tech gadget, but they are also loyal to their favorite clothing brands. Finally, Shmidman said the company's balance sheet is strong, and he is comfortable with Sequential's debt load due to its strong guaranteed minimum royalty streams.
