Investors can boost their returns by paying closer attention to the impact of taxes on their investment portfolios, said Rey Santodomingo, Director of Investment Strategy for Eaton Vance affiliate Parametric Portfolio Associates. Santodomingo added that the Parametric Tax Managed Core Strategy has a decade long record of adding 1-2% in performance on an annualized basis. He said taxes and portfolio selection are personal and investors cannot achieve the same degree of personalization with a mutual fund or exchange traded fund as they can with a separately managed account.
