Exxon Mobil (XOM) - Get Report is being investigated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC is looking into how the oil and natural gas giant calculates the future costs of adhering to increasingly strict climate change regulations, according to the Wall Street Journal. The SEC will also be investigating the company's longstanding practice of not writing down the value of its oil and gas reserves when prices fall, sources told the Journal.
