SeaWorld Misses Earnings Estimates
Shares of SeaWorld Entertainment were higher Tuesday despite mixed third quarter results.
Shares of SeaWorld Entertainment (SEAS) - Get Report were higher Tuesday despite mixed third quarter results. The Orlando-based company reported earnings of $0.77 a share, which were way below analysts' estimates of $1.06 a share. But, revenue of $485 million was relatively in-line with forecasts. CEO Joel Manby says the company's results could be attributed to weather like Hurricane Matthew, wage and labor hikes, and a decrease in foreign tourism. SeaWorld also lowered the top-end of its 2016 adjusted EBITDA guidance range to between $310 million and $330 million.
