SAP CEO: Germany Will Rebound, Oracle Rivalry Continues Post Ellison

The battle between SAP and Oracle is about tomorrow's technology and SAP will win through greater innovation and cutting-edge new products, said Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP and author of 'Winners Dream'. McDermott added that he appreciated and understood Larry Ellison's decision to move from CEO of Oracle to executive chairman and chief technology officer, yet it will not change the fundamental differences between the two companies. Furthermore, he said SAP is based in Germany, but it is a truly global company and at the macro-level he expects a soft landing for the German economy.
