The scramble for holiday gifts is just getting started. And big retailers like Walmart and Home Depot are looking to cash in on the convenience factor. The big brands are installing lockers and gated areas in their stores that allow people to buy online and collect later at their nearest location. Walmart has recently upped its 'Grab and Go' locker services in Canada, which don't provide any extra cost for the customer. Home Depot has installed pick-up cages in 550 of its 1,917 U.S. stores. The new developments are helping retailers keep on top of increasing online sales without the need for more man labor. comScore announced this week that Cyber Monday sales surpassed the $2 billion mark for the first time, up 17% from last year.
