Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail in recent months to keep control of the Senate. While the voting booths are still hours from closing, Republicans have an edge going into Election Day. Republicans only need six seats to win the Senate. In order for the Democrats to maintain control of the Senate, analysts say they need to with North Carolina, where polls close at 7:30 Eastern tonight and New Hampshire, where voting ends at 8pm. We should have a sense of how the night turns out once these states close. Plus, this year's midterm election was one of the most expensive on record, with a staggering $4 billion spent, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
