Recipe delivery startup Blue Apron began with the mission of making cooking easy, fun and accessible for everyone. Fast forward three years and the company is delivering 2 million meal kits a month, has opened a warehouse fulfilment center in New Jersey and launched a curated, online e-commerce store. Blue Apron is now on the brink of raising over $100M in capital from mutual fund giant Fidelity that would value the company at $2 billion. The deal would launch the subscription meal service into the billion dollar ranks of start up royalty like Warby Parker, Snapchat and AirBnB. So what's the story behind Blue Apron's rapid success?
