Radioshack Faces Delisting and Possible Fire Sale of Store Locations
The New York Stock Exchange is moving to delist Radioshack.....It's today's chart of the day. Now Radioshack forecasted it may file for bankruptcy as soon as yesterday, but Monday came and went the struggling electronics retailer is still deliberating. Meanwhile, the Big Board has moved to de-list it as Radioshack also admitted it didn't plan to submit a plan on how it will remain listed. The stock at its peak in the last 52 weeks traded just over 2 dollars. Its been trading for small change until yesterday. Radioshack was trying different funding solutions to stay afloat. Meanwhile several suitors have been named in reports to buy up RadioShack locations. Word has it that Amazon may buy a stake in the company in order to secure stores as showrooms for hardware. Sprint may buy several thousand stores and launch some co branded initiative. Brookstone has also been named as a potential bidder for Radioshack assets.
