PVH Q2 Profit Beats Street Estimates, Hilfiger Helps Lift Top Line

PVH posted second quarter earnings of $1.51 a share on revenue of $1.98 billion. Wall Street analysts were looking for $1.42 a share on sales of $1.99 billion. Last year, the apparel company earned $1.39 a share on $1.96 billion in revenue. As for details, revenue in the Calvin Klein business increased 1% to $675 million from $671 million in the prior year. Revenue in the Tommy Hilfiger business increased 9% to $870 million from $799 million in the prior year period.
