In case you didn't know - Procter & Gamble (PG) - Get Report is an iconic American company that has been around for more than 180 years!

One of the reasons it's so iconic?

Well, it probably has to do with the fact that at least two of your household items are created from Procter & Gamble.

Her are a few items you might be familiar with - Soap, toothpaste, and laundry detergent.

Yup, you can thank P&G for all those everyday necessities now.

So, now you may be wondering how this iconic company got its start.

It all dates back to the 1830s when William Procter and James Gamble, brother-in-laws from Cincinnati, and a candle and soap maker, respectively, decided to become business partners and created P&G.

Recently, the company posted stronger-than-expected fourth quarter earnings for 2019 and said it will repurchase as much as $8 billion in company stock in the coming fiscal year.
