In about 24 hours, Donald Trump will take the oath of office to become president of the United States. Protests are expected in Washington, D.C. As president, Trump could take some policy actions as soon as tomorrow, but he has indicated it will be Monday before business is done.

Netflix (NFLX) - Get Report shares are higher this morning after it beat new subscription expectations. It added more than 7 million subscribers, the bulk of those overseas. Netflix shares hit a record high on the news. With the new subscriptions, Netflix will soon be bigger overseas than in the United States.

Up to 30 people are missing after an avalanche buried a hotel in a ski area of Italy about 100 miles from Rome. The avalanche came after four earthquakes struck the region Wednesday. The 4-star hotel has 43 rooms, but it was not clear how many guests were staying at the hotel.
