President Donald Trump has signed an executive order on cybersecurity, making the heads of government agency responsible for the security of their own departments.

Trump was originally scheduled to sign the order in January but it was postponed.

The order is designed to prevent heads of federal agencies from ducking responsibility for breaches of security by making them directly responsible for their own department's cybersecurity. Another provision within the order will also see the government move as much of their cyberdefense to the cloud as possible.
