President Trump Expected to Decertify Iran Deal
A senior official reportedly said that Trump will roll out a strategy on Iran
President Donald Trump is expected to decertify the Iran nuclear deal, according to Reuters. The news organization, citing a senior official, stated that Trump will also roll out a new, broad strategy on the nation.
Trump has to certify that Iran is complying with the deal by a deadline on October 15th. If Trump does not certify it, Congress will have 60 days to decide if it will reimpose sanctions on Iran.
The sanctions were suspended under the deal agreed between the two nations in 2015. Trump has criticised the deal since it was signed by Barack Obama.
