President Trump Cranks Up the Pressure on China
The President warned that if 'China is not going to solve North Korea, we will.'
Bond markets are likely to react to a weekend interview with President Donald Trump in the Financial Times, in which the president warned that if "China is not going to solve North Korea, we will" in reference to the ongoing difficulties the country is creating in the region. The pressure comes ahead of a meeting between Trump and China's leader, Xi Jinping later this week in Mar-a-Largo, Florida, during which the two are expected to discuss trade, regional security and Chinese monetary policy.
