President-elect Trump Says Thousands More Jobs Coming to U.S.

The new jobs President-elect Donald Trump is touting appear to be part of a previously announced expansion in U.S. jobs by Sprint (S) - Get Report majority owner SoftBank. Trump said Sprint would bring 5,000 jobs back to the U.S. from overseas, while another company, OneWeb, will add 3,000 jobs.

Trump said the deal "was done through" the Japanese tech investment company SoftBank, which owns 80% of Sprint. OneWeb is a U.S. satellite venture that aims to provide affordable internet.

Samsung (SSNLF) could have another problems on its hands. A significant number of Galaxy S7 owners report that the camera lens of their device is shattering without any actual impact. So far, it appears Samsung is refusing to cover such incidents under its warranty. Digital Trends says no one knows why this is happening.

The high number of musicians who died in 2016 is having a big impact on record sales. 1980s pop stars George Michael, Prince and David Bowie all died this year. While official music sales numbers won't be released until January, Nielsen is noting the large number of post-death sales will benefit the major record labels.
