President Donald Trump Turns to the U.S. Supreme Court to Revive His Travel Ban

President Donald Trump has turned to the United States Supreme Court in an attempt to revive his travel ban.

The travel ban was originally introduced in May but was blocked by the lower courts. The Trump administration hopes that, by filing two emergency applications with the Supreme Court,  they will be able to overturn those bans.

Trump's travel ban sought to prevent people from six majority Muslim nations from traveling to the US. The countries that were affected included Iran, Libya, Somalia, Suda, Syria and Yemen.
