President Donald Trump "likely obstructed justice" in firing former FBI Director James Comey, according to an analysis from the Brookings Institution.

The 108-page report, completed by three of the Washington, D.C., think tank's legal experts, delves into the president's actions since taking office and explains the criminal and Congressional actions that could result from an obstruction investigation. Its conclusion: while Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Trump and those in his orbit is still underway, and piecemeal details are still trickling out, it is likelier the president obstructed justice than not.

"...[O]ur review of the facts and the law leads us to believe that the president likely obstructed justice," wrote Barry Berke, Noah Bookbinder and Norm Eisen. "Should that conclusion be borne out, we believe he will be held to account...for no one is above the law in our system."
