Premiership Rugby Inks Multi-Year NBC Sports Deal for U.S. Broadcasts

Rugby may not get the same respect as the NFL, MLB or NBA here in the U.S. - yet, but that may start to change this year. Aviva Premiership Rugby has signed a three-year agreement which will see 24 regularly-scheduled Game of the Week programs aired on NBCSN and up to 50 other Aviva Premiership Rugby matches streamed on the NBC Sports Group's live streaming products and connected televisions starting with the 2016-2017 season. London Irish CEO Bob Casey said, 'Premiership rugby have done a fantastic job to sign a long-term deal with someone of the size of NBC. So it will be for the masses. You will see top quality rugby.'
