Port has seen steady growth in U.S. restaurants and bars due to the increasing popularity of craft cocktails, says Adrian Bridge, CEO of the Fladgate Partnership. The Portuguese fortified wine has a long colorful history dating back to the 17th century and has been enjoyed all over the world as both a drink to pair with the end of a meal, and as an aperitif alongside some sharp cheese and seasoned nuts. As of late, millennial consumers are being targeted through mixologists. Bridge says demand and interest for vintage Port is robust and prices will rise so collectors should buy while they can - particularly if they can find Taylor or Fonseca 1985.
