Pfizer Ready to Spend Cash and Sarepta Readies MS Drug
Pfizer rumored deal for Astra Zeneca said to be rejected, while Sarepta gets a boost from the FDA.
Pfizer reportedly offered British drug maker Astra Zeneca $101 billion in an acquisition offer that was supposedly rejected. Pfizer is looking to expand its cancer franchise and Astra has a nice pipeline of cancer drugs. Also, in drug news, Sarepta gets a helping hand from the FDA with regards to its muscular dystrophy drug eteplirsen. Gold continues to drop as the deal between the miners Barrick Gold and Newmont Mining is off for now. The two couldn't agree on the spinoff mines.
