PetSmart agreed to be bought by a group led by BC Partners for about $8.3 billion this week in the largest leveraged deal for an American company this year. The group will pay $83 a share for the country’s biggest pet products chain. Meanwhile, NBC launched a live stream of its broadcast network this week in an attempt to increase its online presence, according to the Wall Street Journal. Finally, DISH became the first major pay-TV provider to integrate the Netflix app into its set-top box this week. DISH said the app is now available on its second-generation Hopper box and gives customers the ability to instantly stream Netflix movies and TV shows like ‘House of Cards’ from the same platform used to access their regular television channels.
