PepsiCo Plans to Cut Sugar in its Drinks by 2025
PepsiCo is going on a health kick, and plans to reduce sugar in most of its beverages by 2025.
PepsiCo (PEP) - Get Report is going on a sugar diet in a move to offer healthier foods. The company says at least two thirds of its beverages will contain less sugar by the year 2025, reducing calories to one hundred or less for a twelve ounce can. The pledge comes as the beverage giant launches its 2025 Sustainability Agenda, which also includes reducing sodium in its food products and improving water efficiency in its supply chain. PepsiCo also seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the company by 20%.
