Uber is the ride-sharing service that's trying to expand its operations in Pennsylvania and they're calling a regulatory recommendation 'disappointing.' Two administrative law judges advised the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission on Thursday to deny an application by an Uber subsidiary for the same kind of certificate that's required of taxi services. Among other things, the judges observed that Uber didn't show a plan or a commitment to ensure vehicle safety and driver integrity. The final decision will be in the hands of the five-member utility commission in which changes in the state law are being sought after.
