U.S. stocks rose on Wednesday, as second quarter earnings kept flowing. Morgan Stanley (MS) - Get Report reported earnings of $0.75 a share, beating estimates of $0.59 a share. Revenue of $8.9 billion topped forecasts of $8.3 billion. Revenue from equity sales and trading of $2.1 billion declined from the $2.3 billion earned during the same quarter a year ago. Halliburton (HAL) - Get Report posted an adjusted loss of $0.14 a share, $0.05 smaller than expected. Halliburton, an oil field services company, was dinged by the $3.5 billion termination fee it paid stemming from its failed acquisition of Baker Hughes (BHI) . TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
