Stocks plunged one year ago on August 24, 2015 amid worries about low oil prices and China uncertainty - themes that are still in play today. Simon Smith, chief economist at FxPro, based in London, said corrections are an ever-present risk in markets. 'I don't necessarily think - given what we've seen over the last year - [that we are] more vulnerable to a correction,' he said, adding that if investors lose faith in the Federal Reserve's ability to keep propping up the markets, that could raise risks of a correction.
