Oil Extends Gains Ahead of Key Data, Near the Highest Price This Year

Oil extends its gains ahead of U.S. Energy Information Administration data on inventories out later today. Oil prices are being helped by a weak U.S. dollar, bullish demand and signs of slowing U.S. production. GoDaddy (GDDY) shows growth but also losses in its first earnings report since going public in April. The web hosting company posted a nearly 18% bump in revenue. Shares of GoDaddy have remained more or less steady over the past month, but dipped after hours. Orexigen (OREX) shares were hurt after it announced it would discontinue its obesity treatment. An independent panel of experts says the drug maker prematurely released data on studies.
