President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tackled climate change and highlighted the lucrative trade relationships between the two countries.
President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced new measures to tackle climate change and highlighted the lucrative trade relationships between the two countries at a joint press conference at the White House on Thursday. 'We are focusing on making sure the Paris [climate] agreement is fully implemented and we're working to double our investments in clean energy research and development,’ President Obama said. Canada has also agreed to join the U.S. in lowering methane emissions in the oil and gas sectors. 'We want a clean growth economy that continues to provide good jobs and great opportunities for all of our citizens,’ Prime Minister Trudeau said.
