Obama a 'Stranger' in Washington, ‘Reticent’ on Ferguson Says Chuck Todd
President Obama remains an outsider to the Washington power structure despite his 6 years in the White House, said Chuck Todd, author of 'The Stranger'. Todd added that Obama had a deeper connection to the Trayvon Martin case and has appeared reticent in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson Missouri. He said Valerie Jarrett serves as a necessary 'First Friend' to both the President and the First Lady despite her often polarizing actions. Todd also said many Washington insiders believe the President should play more golf and have more interaction with Congressional members in order to improve relations. Finally, Todd states that the expectations for President Obama were far too high when he came into office to break through Washington's gridlock.
