It was a wild ride in the markets Wednesday.

Now, post-market selloff, what should investors expect?

Well, Matthew Cheslock, equity trader at Virtu Financial, told TheStreet that he expects some "heavy selling" Thursday morning.

Here's what he had to say.

"There's a lot to look at as far as economic numbers and earnings, maybe from the retail side. We've already seen some numbers that really weren't positive for the market. Maybe that can help buoy the market a little bit tomorrow. That's one of the biggest concerns about the U.S.-China trade tariff was retail was going to suffer. So, I would anticipate some heavy selling in the morning, but maybe we can overcome that with some strong retail numbers in earnings from [Wednesday night]," explained Cheslock.
