Now That Dow Has Hit 20,000, GM and Nike Are Hot Stocks

Some of Wall Street's biggest stocks are teetering on the edge of breakout territory this week. Here are five of them.

General Motors (GM) - Get General Motors Company Report broke through $38 resistance in Wednesday's trading session. That's a buy signal.  Nike (NKE) - Get NIKE, Inc. Class B Report is forming a short-term ascending triangle pattern that triggers a buy above $54. GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) - Get GlaxoSmithKline Plc Report looks "bottomy" thanks to a classic technical price pattern. The buy signal comes on a push through $39.75.

Microsoft (MSFT) - Get Microsoft Corporation Report , after rallying for the better part of the last year, is still a "buy the dips stock" this winter. Novartis (NVS) - Get Novartis AG Report has an inverse head and shoulders pattern sparks a buy signal on a move through this stock's $74 level.
