Now Is the Time to Be Buying European Stocks, Not Selling Them -- Fund Manager
European stocks have been battered recently, and investors are missing out on opportunities, according to one fund manager.
The recent selling in European stocks is a buying opportunity, according to one fund manager, who says the market is currently undervalued. Dale Winner is senior portfolio manager of Wells Fargo International Equity Fund, which has about 40% of its holdings in Europe.
Winner has an overweight in Germany, and favors consumer stocks like Metro, a retailer which he describes as a combined Costco (COST) - Get Report and Best Buy (BBY) - Get Report .
Winner also says fears of a global clampdown on trade have weighed on stock markets outside the U.S., and selling is overdone.
