EBay recently asked 145 million users to change their passwords after admitting that they had been victims of a massive cyber-attack. According to eBay, the cyber criminals accessed encrypted passwords and stole email addresses, mailing addresses, birth dates and phone numbers, between late February and early March. The company said no customer financial information was compromised.
