President Trump's agenda to renegotiate NAFTA and end the Affordable Care Act could create volatility in the market, according to Real Money contributor Stephen Guilfoyle. He said that in the early days, it will be difficult to know which companies will benefit from lower taxes, increased fiscal spending and deregulation, as the devil is in the details.
Guilfoyle also noted a delay overseas cash repatriation could mean that stocks such as Apple (AAPL) - Get Apple Inc. (AAPL) Report, Alphabet (GOOGL) - Get Alphabet Inc. Class A Reportand Cisco (CSCO) - Get Cisco Systems, Inc. Report all put off possible plans to bring money home at a reduced tax rate, thus delaying reinvestment of the cash or special dividend payments. Guilfoyle also said numerous defense companies report this week, including Boeing (BA) - Get Boeing Company Report . He thinks Boeing is a bit pricey and suggests using an options strategy with that stock.
