The ValueShares International Quantitative Value ETF (IVAL) takes advantage of mispricing caused by irrational investors in foreign markets, said Wesley Gray, founder of Alpha Architect. Alpha Architect utilizes behavioral finance, which they have coded into algorithms to select stocks for its funds. Gray said he is a fundamental investor at heart, but he expresses his fundamental views in a fully-automated way. He said he is bullish on shares of Northrop Grumman, calling the company high quality, yet out-of-favor. He is also positive on shares of Occidental Petroleum despite the recent collapse in the price of oil.
