Traders are watching overnight developments in Asia and Europe, response to Apple's Asian iPhone 8 launch and layoffs at HPE.

1. Stock futures are down ahead of the bell. Asian shares were rattled by North Korea overnight.  Europe is also watching for Theresa May's speech

2. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) plans to cut 10% of its workforce. That could mean 5,000 employees lose their jobs

3. iPhone 8 goes on sale at Asian Apple (AAPL) Stores today. The muted response could be from lukewarm reviews or the upcoming iPhone X

4. Facebook (FB) is doing its own Russian ad investigation. Mark Zuckerberg said the company is handing information over to the government

5. Earning reports coming today from: CarMax Inc. (KMX)  and Finish Line Inc (FINL) .
