Prices dropped about a buck to settle at $50.81 a barrel. A couple of big gains in the retail space. The parent company of Ann Taylor (ANN) swung up 5% on a report that it was considering putting itself up for sale. According Bloomberg, the women's retailer is working with JPMorgan (JPM) on a potential deal. And despite missing its Q4 earnings, Nordstrom (JWN) closed nearly 6% higher.
