Shoes, lets get some shoes... find out the history behind Nordstrom (JWN) and how it became more than just a shoe store.

1901, in Seattle Washington, Klondike gold miner John Nordstrom opens a shoe store called Wallin & Nordstrom.

John Nordstrom eventually sells his share to his sons who change the name to Nordstrom's.  The company grows to also sell apparel and opens 46 full-line department stores from 1978 to 1995.

Where does Nordstrom head from here as the retailer continues to struggle in an Amazon (AMZN) dominated environment? Only time...and its stock price can tell.
