The first force disrupting the global economy is that the center of economic activity will shift from the developed to the emerging markets. Dobbs said the pace of technology will also be a force that will shorten the lifespan of companies. He said aging demographics could lead to the first global population plateau. Finally, Dobbs said trade lines will be shifted toward Asia as opposed to Europe and North America.
