Newspapers Demand Money From LexisNexis... It Might Just Be the Start
Newspaper publishers just send a cease and desist letter to Lexis Nexis.
A group of newspaper publishers are claiming that LexisNexis isn't sticking with its contractual agreements and want damages.
LexisNexis is a major aggregator and distributor of the newspapers' content.
The company is also a major player in the media monitoring business.
The group of publishers that sent the cease and desist letter includes Advance Publications Inc., BH Media Group, Cox Media Group Inc., McClatchy Co. ( (MNI) - Get Report) and Tronc Inc. ( (TRNC) ).
Ken Doctor writes extensively about this and explains why this demand letter might just be the begining.
