The new movie 'Gone Girl' has found itself at No. 1 at this weekend's box office. According to studio estimates, the Fox thriller opened to an estimated $38 million, barely beating horror newcomer 'Annabelle.' Based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn, 'Gone Girl' stars Ben Affleck as a writer whose wife goes missing on their fifth anniversary, turning him into a murder suspect. 'Annabelle' debuted closely behind 'Gone Girl' with $37.2 million. The film centers on the creepy porcelain doll featured in last year's haunted house horror 'The Conjuring.' Sony's revenge thriller 'The Equalizer' starring Denzel Washington came in third place in its second weekend with $19 million.
