Utah has voted Republican since 1968, but this election cycle, that could change. And if it does, it could toss the presidential election decision to the House of Representatives.

Evan McMullin, a relatively unknown Republican running as a third-party candidate for the presidency as an alternative to Donald Trump, is making waves. Recent polls in Utah show him running close to and even ahead of Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Were McMullin to scoop up all of the Beehive State's six electoral votes in November, it would increase the chances of neither major party candidate reaching the necessary 270 votes to clinch the presidency. Then the election would be decided by the House.

It's not just the polls and the pundits that are paying attention to McMullin's impact on Utah -- the prediction markets have an eye on him as well. John Aristotle, CEO of PredictIt, sat down with TheStreet to discuss how investors are moving money on McMullin as well as market expectations for North Carolina, Ohio and the federal election.
