Verdu previously worked for Facebook (FB) - Get Facebook, Inc. Class A Report overseeing augmented and virtual reality content. Prior to that, he was at Electronic Arts (EA) - Get Electronic Arts Inc. Report, overseeing its Mobile Unit.
Bloomberg has previously reported that Netflix, which has over 200 million subscribers worldwide, might offer a video games service as soon as next year.
