Netflix Recoups Monday Losses; Stocks Enjoy Best Rally of 2015
Netflix (NFLX) made a big comeback, managing to recoup nearly all of Monday's losses. However, the streaming giant is still in correction territory, down 17% from an early August record. Stocks enjoyed their biggest rally of 2015 after China cut interest rates in an attempt to revive its economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved more than 300 points higher after dropping by as much as 1,000 points during yesterday's trading. Consumer confidence hit its second-highest reading since the recession, driven by an improving labor market. The Conference Board's index jumped to 101.5 in August, far higher than an expected reading of 94. Bank of America (BAC) rocketed higher after several analysts upgraded the stock on a valuation basis after days of losses.
